Glittering Greenwich - what to do and see in June

There's lots to do and see in Greenwich this month as the shops and market celebrate Jewellery Week, spot The Invasion, join in the Greenwich Fair and try your hand at Tables for a Tenner

Greenwich Market is host to London's biggest jewellery market with up to 100 stalls featuring work by some of London's most talented designer makers as well as some great vintage finds. Spot the giant tiaras hung from the roof, made by local shops and visitors to the market. Shop to the accompaniment of live music and sip on a cocktail or two while you do.

Pop Up Shop

London's most sparkly Pop Up Shop has opened its doors in Greenwich.

Talented jewellers Jessica de Lotz, Myia Bonner, The Jewellery Guild and P.O.W are the winning team behind this fresh new jewellery venture – their prize as winners of a retail design competition sponsored by Jewellery Week 2012 and estate owner Greenwich Hospital.

In the Meantime by Jo Peel – new solo exhibition at The Ben Oakley Gallery

15 June to 1 July

The Ben Oakley Gallery, 9 Turnpin Lane, hosts an exciting solo exhibition by Jo Peel.

Using acrylics and spray paint she confidently creates a dialogue by accurately recording the urban landscape in front of her.

Peel is a serious contender in the Urban Contemporary scene and is regularly commissioned to paint huge exterior street works.
