Greenwich Market welcomes locals and visitors like by literally flying the flag in the covered Market.New signage and giant hearts proudly claim what Greenwich Market is all about – designer makers, art, antiques and collectables, and delicious food to go – as well as touching on Greenwich's all important naval heritage.
Gillie Bexson, Greenwich Hospital Property Manager, states 'We wanted to create something that was visually arresting and would make people smile, invoke the feel good factor and add to the enjoyment of their visit to this much loved market place.' The Market has also grown over the games periods to include stalls on the pedestrianised area in Greenwich Church Street and around St Alfege Church. Greenwich Market is open from 11am to 8pm daily, seven days a week over both games periods (until 13 Aug). |

RN @ Greenwich is a one off pop-up venture masterminded by two officers from HMS Ocean – currently moored at Greenwich. PO CIS Gunton and I CIS Reffell run and manage the shop on board HMS Ocean for their welfare fund- this is spent on moral building events for the on board crew such as BBQ nights or film nights. The shop will be open daily from midday 'til late, 7 days a week, until they sail post games. Coincidentally, I CIS Reffell was educated at The Royal Hospital School, Holbrook – founded in 1712 by Greenwich Hospital and today is part of Greenwich Hospital Estate's charitable portfolio. What goes around, really does come round.
